As part of a listed Tudor manor renovation in Norfolk, Danielle Marsh and Emily Holder of interior design studio Wells and Maguire converted a gloomy guest room into a spacious master en-suite. C.P. One of the most important focuses of the renovation was converting the unused guest bedroom into an open space to form the new en-suite. "We knocked through the wall, added glazed doors, restored the original floorboards and painted them white," says Danielle. "The room instantly felt lighter and brighter."A clever use of the property’s original features, the shower area sits neatly within the former turret. The shower features our exclusive Spillo round shower head in the brushed brass finish, set in iridescent mosaics with soft lighting built into the ceiling.
Our stone Coniston freestanding bath creates the bathroom’s centrepiece, accentuated with a dramatic crystal chandelier suspended above. The designers specified white Cielo Shui Comfort washbasins and a white Duravit Luv double vanity unit to match the bath, while zoning the basin area in playful, pink herringbone wall tiles. "White is clean and fresh, while pink adds subtle colour with its warmth echoed in the Crosswater MPRO brushed brass taps."
The Result
Renowned for exceptional craftsmanship and timeless style, C.P. Hart’s pieces were the perfect addition to Wells and Maguire’s design.The symmetrical arrangement of the washbasins and wall mirrors enhances the elegance of the space, while three wall lights balance the look, fitted on a separate circuit to the chandelier and ceiling spotlights to provide the option of ambient lighting. "The space is flooded with natural light during the day, and offers a haven of relaxation when softly lit at night," Danielle says.
