THE OLD RECTORY
C.P. Hart designed, specified, and installed the bathrooms for a grand 17th-century rectory located amongst the Wiltshire hills, creating a selection of bathrooms that include a timeless and handsome gentleman’s bathroom and a clean, stylish shower room.The Gentleman's Bathroom
"The client was drawn to the colour blue, so we established that as our starting point," the C.P. Hart design team recall, who centred the gentleman's bathroom design around the Audrey Freestanding Bath, exclusive to C.P. Hart. The design team coordinated the bath with an Artelinea vanity unit boasting generous storage, opting for a bespoke blue finish on both.The Cielo Shui Comfort Oval basin in White Gloss sits beneath wall-mounted taps in a satin nickel finish from the Landmark Pure collection by Samuel Heath. Opposite, a spacious walk-in shower, complete with full-height, frameless glass, features a Samuel Heath shower head, hand shower and controls in the same finish.
The Shower Room
In contrast to the classic gentleman’s bathroom, the shower room was briefed as ‘a modern, high-performance space’ to double up as a guest bathroom. With matt-black accents throughout, C.P. Hart’s design team specified a Drench Frahm shower screen with matching matt-black shower fittings from the Dornbracht Tara range.A Cielo Era washbasin sits upon a wall-mounted Cielo Multiplo Vanity Unit, finished in Fango with a matt-black frame and paired with Dornbracht wall-mounted taps in the same matt-black finish as the shower fittings.
The Result
C.P. Hart’s design team ensured the home’s surroundings were considered in the design. “From the bath, I can look out over the rolling Wiltshire hills and see a brilliant patchwork of green and yellow rapeseed flowers, cowslips and daffodils,” says the owner, speaking of the gentleman’s bathroom.“In the shower room, my husband and I particularly love the big, eye-level inset shelf in the shower area as, at certain angles, the mirror reflects the view of the trees through the window.”
