Invisible House
A unique addition to our project portfolio, C.P. Hart recently supplied the products for theultra-minimalist bathrooms of Invisible House, an illusional masterpiece sat amid Moreton Paddox, Warwickshire.
The Specification
“The inspiration for Invisible House came from a mirrored tree house I saw in Sweden that reflected the landscape around it, and that’s exactly what we wanted to achieve here,” explains the owner, Steve Smith. “The idea was to create a deconstructed dwelling, where each pavilion represents a room in a more traditional house.”Constructed from eight mirrored pavilions – each connected by glazed skeletal links – Invisible House floats 300mm from the ground, creating the illusion of elevation. Aside from the completely black entrance lobby, every room boasts an all-white interior.
Each bathroom, supplied by C.P. Hart, features an Ex.t Frieze basin, a Cielo Shui Comfort WC, and a Bette shower tray, with a freestanding Duravit Durasquare bath in the primary suite. Dornbracht Tara brassware is installed at the basin, bath, and shower throughout each bathroom, finished in matt white with
crosshead detailing.
The Result
Invisible House displays extraordinary cutting-edge design – a structural landmark hidden amongst nature. “From the outset, the only way I would achieve planning permission on this site was through a ‘Para 79 exemption’, which meant a one-off house of ‘exceptional architecture’,” Steve shares. “For the bathrooms, I briefed C.P. Hart with the all-white schemes, and they shared several great options to choose from.”
