7.5T Driver
Location: Transport Department. Dartford Warehouse.

Full Time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

 

Primary Duties

To assist the Transport Manager. To ensure all customer orders are delivered to the required standards. To cover in the absence of a CPH Driver and conduct delivery duties.

Through upholding our Vision and Values to provide a first-class customer-focused delivery and collection service, whilst complying fully with all road transport legislation and company policies and procedures.

  • To ensure the quality of all deliveries. To comply with the requirements of the delivery procedure.
  • To ensure the quality of all collections. To comply with the requirements of the collection’s procedure.
  • To perform all vehicle checks, and maintenance in accordance with the Vehicle Operating Procedure and relevant legislation. To be accountable for any failure to comply with this procedure.
  • To comply absolutely with the legal requirements of the Ministry of Transport applicable to vehicle operation.
  • To ensure that the vehicle is loaded safely and that all goods are transported without damage. To be accountable for the consequences of unsafe loading and damage to goods.
  • To maintain the interior and external condition of the vehicle in accordance with the Vehicle Operating Procedure including vehicle cleanliness.
  • To comply with the requirements of the Waybill Procedure.
  • To comply with the Dress and Presentation Code for C.P. Hart drivers
  • To ensure you always conduct your duties in line with C.P. Hart Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
  • To perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the business (Porter duties) when not required to drive.

 

Requirements and Standards to be Achieved

  • Ensure all CPH routes depart on time and loads are secured and correct paperwork is available.
  • Perform random spot checks on loads/orders and driver daily checks.
  • Goods delivered undamaged, correct to despatch note and within the time slot.
  • Goods collected correct to collect note and within the time slot.
  • Vehicle check record sheets to be completed and submitted daily for monitoring and validation.
  • Tachographs for the current period are always available with the driver. Outside of this period, Tachographs are submitted for filing. No non-compliance at FTA three monthly inspections.
  • No transit damages. Damage to be recorded and performance reported by the driver.
  • Vehicles to be inspected daily/weekly by transport supervisor.
  • Completed waybills to be monitored for completeness and accuracy.
  • The wearing of full C.P. Hart uniform, always. Fully trained in all aspects of H&S within the role.
