Case study: Soho Hotel
C.P. Hart Contracts division won a high profile contract to install all the bathrooms to the new Soho Hotel in London.
Opening in September 2004, The Soho Hotel was an hugely exciting addition to the capital’s social scene. Situated on Dean Street, this former multi-storey car park includes 85 bedrooms and suites, eight private apartments, two drawing rooms, a restaurant and bar, two screening rooms and three private dining rooms, as well as a gym and beauty rooms.
Working with designer Kit Kemp
And, as one would expect from owner Firmdale Hotels – whose track record includes The Charlotte Street Hotel and Number Sixteen – the bathrooms haven’t been skimped on. Together, designer Kit Kemp and the C.P. Hart Contracts team came up with a scheme that included Leonardo bathware, Sieger Design’s Happy D furniture and Santosa oval underbowls from Duravit.
One stop solution
C.P. Hart Contracts also supplied the cast iron baths that were sourced from outside the UK. According to the company’s managing director, Paul Rowland, the C.P. Hart Contracts team was able to provide a “one stop solution”.
“We try and make everything as easy as possible,” he says. “With our Contracts department, the client gets the best products from C.P. Hart’s enviable range and gets an installation service that matches.”
According to Firmdale Hotels’ project manager Ron Cheles: “It was a huge pleasure to work with C.P. Hart Contracts. It goes without saying that they have an excellent portfolio of brilliantly designed products but we've also been hugely impressed with the level of service the company has provided.”
